For over 30 years, Diane has mentored faculty at Santa Clara University as a department chair, associate dean, work-life balance consultant, founder of the faculty development program, and facilitator of a faculty leadership forum. She has received internal and external grants, published research in both the humanities and social sciences, and served as a grant reviewer for the National Endowment for the Humanities in Washington, D.C.

As a college professor, advisor, and mentor at Santa Clara University, Diane has helped hundreds of students discover their paths in life. Her course, “Vocation: Your Personal Renaissance,” funded by a Lilly Endowment grant, has helped students in many majors discover a greater sense of identity and purpose. In 2014 the class was featured as an exemplary course by the Association of American Colleges and Universities.
